Déjà vu….

Dear friends,

So how’s Aidiladha? Biasa2 jer kan? Yup, it’s different as compared to Aidilfitri as we fast during Ramadhan and felt the sacrifices that we made. Aidiladha… unless you have someone in Mekah or performing the Hajj or performing korban at nearby masjid or surau it’s just another holiday. Well at least for me it is just another holiday. Going to and back from Batu Pahat is agonizing, I don’t know why but the jam is horrendous. I came back from Batu Pahat on Monday, so that I’ll get some rest on Tuesday. I took leave on Tuesday as I know I’ll be exhausted from driving and of course the jam.

Déjà vu 1: Landslide that happened in Bukit Antarabangsa. The strange part is not the landslide or how much casualties but the responses from the authority and statements from the ministers. I could’ve sworn that I heard it before. ‘Stop hill slope development’ and ‘kajian akan dibuat terhadap pembangunan di kawasan takungan air’ amongst the statement that’s popular during tragedy like this. A year from now they’ll forget everything and the projects goes on. Now it is the pointing fingers, old MB blames new MB, New MB blames old MB, old admin blames new admin and vice versa. I bet I know what Mr. Samy will say if he’s still the minister. Hehehe….

Déjà vu 2: Accident at Pagoh – Tangkak area involving an express bus which claims 10 lives. The bus is out of control, the bus is speeding and ‘gaji pemandu bas akan dikaji’. Sounds familiar? How many times do they need to review it? How many lives should be sacrificed before they finish reviewing it? They have been reviewing the salary since ages, but I think if they pay the bus driver with Air Asia’s pilot salary the accident will still happen. Last Saturday when I was driving and doing 110Km/h an express bus dengan selamba jer overtake me. I bet the bus is doing 130 or 140, and the best part, there’s a sticker on the back of the bus ‘Lebuhraya 90 Km/h’. Makes me wonder which lebuhraya is it referring to? 5 out 10 of the bus driver are reckless and 8 out 10 goes above their speed limit (I guess the 2 has mechanical problem), they’ll never change. Ahh… ape2 je la.

Déjà vu 3: Malaysia football team losing again. Same old story, just when we put our hope high, they never fail to disappoint us. ‘inilah barisan kita yg ikhlas berjuang, siap sedia berkorban utk ibu pertiwi, sebelum kita berjaya jangan harap kami pulang…’ so I guess they’ll stay in Thailand forever la. Tonight’s prediction, Malaysia 1 – Thailand 3. Another Déjà vu if the coach blames the defeat due to technicality. ‘Defeat is because change of venue’ or ‘Our players ate too much tom yam and have tom yam overdose syndrome’. We have world class facilities, but not world class athletes. Except for Datuk Nicol la… she’s da bomb! And they were thinking of building a multimillion facility in London. Cheh! Ethiopians has much less from us and yet they manage to win gold in the Olympics, that’s fighting for your country’s honor. We have spend millions of ringgit on the so called sukan teras, but still we haven’t achieved anything, I think it is time to change the sukan teras. Maybe merempit should be our sukan teras, no monetary injection pun they still merempit.

That’s some of the Déjà vu I had the past few days, and I realized that we are going nowhere. ‘Pi mai pi mai tang tu.’ Same old story but different faces involved. Whatever had written in the papers stays in the paper. Other than my Déjà vu my holiday was very normal and dull. Going back to Batu Pahat does not relief me from stress but maintained it at a critical level.

Chapter 2

Hi people, we meet again. It has been a while since I last blogged. Let’s see… my last post entitled ‘My blog is blocked’ was on 23 March 2007. So excuse me if my blogging is a bit berkarat here and there.

People are never satisfied of what they have; me included, and people always complaint and try to voice out their dissatisfaction. Me? I love complaining and I love criticizing, not that I’m perfect sangat la, but I’ve been complaining about a lot of things that it became some sort of a hobby to me. Anyway, I won’t be complaining about the group IT for now. J Somehow they granted us with access to a lot of things, which was blocked during 2007 like this Blogspot and Facebook. I don’t know who to thanks but I’m thankful that they are not blocking this site.

For those who are my blog followers back in 2007, let me give some updates about me. (There’s not much post pun dulu, I think about 10 jer). I’m still working in Damansara and still doing internal audit, had an addition to my family, Arief Shazwan in April 2007. Still staying in Kesuma Lakes, Beranang. Where’s Beranang? Google la beb! Penat nak explain. I don’t drive all the way to work; I take the commuter and bus, so I’ll be complaining a lot in this area, bare with me people.

Not exactly sure where to start, it’s been a while, but let me start by wishing you people out there ‘Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha’. Yup, Raya Haji is just around the corner, I’m going back to Batu Pahat tomorrow. That’s wiffy’s hometown. Parit Simin Semerah, any of u guys from there? Actually wanted to go back tonight coz I bet the traffic tomorrow will be like setan, but working here with the not so rapid Rapidkl and KTM’s commuter service I’ll be too exhausted for a long journey. Tido lagi best. Thought of driving to work today but the landslide at Jalan Semantan yesterday changed my mind. The jam? It’s still bumper to bumper right up to now. Reason? Malaysian… they have to slow down and watch. Very typical of them kan? From my building (Millennium) tak nampak la the landslide, but I can see the slow moving car from here.

So… going back today would be a challenge, shuttle bus to Bangsar would be difficult same goes to my U82 bus. Hopefully I can go back a bit earlier than usual (usual is above 7pm) and hitch a ride with my colleague to Bank Negara. Then I’d only need to worry about the KTM commuter. See u guys later… I hope. Before I go off, here's a picture of me with Erra... hehehe... Nanti citer lain. Adios!
